wheezing

Hi all I have been using cpap for 4 years now but now I have started wheezing when I wake up and feel so tired all day. My readings are excellent zero or point something. leak 4 pressure 9.4 . Any ideas why I feel like this. I do have a husband with dementia who needs caring for so I do realise I will be tired but not so much that I could stay in bed all day. Many thanks

  1. Do you wheeze all day long or just in the morning? It might also be worth it to give your equipment a good cleaning or swap out for a new hose/mask, just in case there's been a buildup of bacteria in there. I agree with Lori, it's worth getting checked out by a doctor. Keep doing the best you can, it's really tough to be a caregiver, but you also deserve care and rest. We're here for you. -Melissa, team member

  2. Hi . Wheezing is usually caused by a lung condition separate from sleep apnea, possibly an infection, COPD or asthma. Have you see a doctor about it yet? If not, that would probably be a good idea. You have a lot of your plate, caring for someone with dementia, but you have to take care of yourself if you want to care for him. Keep us posted, if you don't mind. I'll be thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. Thank you will try and see doc
