Living with chronic Tinnitus.....

Hello everyone....I have been living with Chronic Tinnitus for many many years...and everytime i mention this to my Doctors...some say that there's no cure for this....It's interrupted my life significantly.....I just don't know if the Health community can support me in finding a way to take care of this Tinnitus and pray that there soon can be a resolution for this debilitating symptom.....Thank you for letting me share my story...

  1. Hi . My heart goes out to you. Chronic tinnitus can be so difficult to live with. Whether it can be treated depends on the cause, but many people simply need to learn how to cope with it. Have any of your doctors ever tried to investigate further? If not, it might be worth your while to find an ENT who specializes in tinnitus even if you have to travel for an appointment. If that doctor finds no solution, then maybe you can work on making peace with it. I have a relative who has chronic tinnitus. He wears a device similar to a hearing aid that provides continuous low-level white noise to drown it out. It's made a huge difference for him. Here is an article from Mayo Clinic about causes and treatments: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/tinnitus/symptoms-causes/syc-20350156. I hope this helps and that you get some relief. Do you have sleep apnea as well? Warmly, Lori (Team Member)

    1. Hi . I'll find out more from my brother and get back to you. he's been really happy with it, as far as I know. - Lori (Team Member)

    2. Hi ! My brother uses Widex brand and says they work well. He has gotten accustomed to his tinitus though and says he only uses them for sleep now. He's says they've been a big help. I hope you can convince your mother-in-law to try them and that they give her some relief. - Lori (Team Member)
