What tips and advice would you have about traveling with a CPAP? Do you own a travel CPAP or just bring the one you normally use?

That's a bummer to hear you had forgotten to bring the hose,

I take my regular cpap machine with me. If you are flying, be sure to carry on your cpap machine. Put a a label on it that says "medical equipment" and it will NOT count against your carry-on limit. TSA MAY open the bag and swipe the equipment, but I have never had to take it out of the bag.
