Just Not Sure

Well, I'm always tired. It could from my lasting effects from Chiari Malformation or my low thyroid, and sometimes from my migraine hangover. So I go to the Drs and they start at square 1. A long year later and after many tests, I'm scheduled for a sleep study. Ok so I come to find out the only time I have an issue is during my REM sleep. A yea...I have 62 episodes a minute. I was completely blown away. Well, that was 2 years ago. And I still don't have my machine. It comes down to paying the copay. The insurance company even tried to call them to set up payments for me and they hung up on them 4 times before they even had the chance to say what they called to talk about. So I don't know what I'm going to do. I know it works great. The 2nd study when I had the machine on was one of the best night sleeps in a while. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!!

  1. I am so sorry I've had this same issue with getting my machine. I would talk to your doctor and see if they can send the script possibly to another company to fill the prescription. COVID has made it really hard so I've had to switch 3 times, I would get with your doctor and see maybe there is another provider they can recommend. I looked at Yelp to find my newest home health company that fulfills my supplies. I'm hoping that you can get a resolution soon because I know how important it is to have and use your machine.

    1. Hi , I wanted to check-in and see how you're doing? I can relate to your numbers, and the REM is what I was missing too. 😓

      1. twin2by7 that must be terrible.
Do you have a doctor appointment coming up or can you make an appointment? Two years is a long time. I hope that you are able to get your doctor to call you. Maybe send them a letter? If not, I hope that you are able to find someone soon.
Please let us know how you are doing.

        1. Hi , sorry to hear about all the struggle you are going through with trying to get a CPAP. Have you spoken to your sleep specialist about trying to get you one? Warmly, Kristin (SleepApnea.Sleep-Disorders.net Team Member)
