Tracking Sleep: How do you use your sleep data?

Do you review data about your sleep? Do you find the data useful? Does your doctor discuss your sleep data with you?

  1. I do not check the data often but I check when I haven't had a good sleep. I can check it on the machine directly.

    1. , This is a good question. I don't often check my numbers, but always do if I've had a bad night of sleep or haven't been feeling well.

It's easy, I use the ResMed AirSense 10, which comes with the myAir usage tracker program you get for free. I can quickly check events/hours slept directly on my machine, or I can visit the myAir tracker online and find out how long I slept with my mask on, my mask leak numbers, how many times I took my mask off during the night, and the number of apneas I averaged. I can also review my usage "scores" over periods of time to see how I'm progressing.

      1. Kelly, my pulmonologist is so happy to see the data from my machine. This actually goes on our hospital chain chart, so he can see it in from his office in a city 130 miles away or in a real short visit when he comes to our rural town. My local doctor is also able to access this.
My pulm likes to know these things as they can affect my breathing as well. I have asthma and COPD as well.
