HAVING GENERAL ANAESTHETIC DURING DAY CASE SURGERY

I am going in this Friday for my second Inguenal Hernia operation, this time with keyhole surgery. My problem is - I'm being seen as a day case which means I don't get to stop overnight. Am in the UK. What are the effects of GA on sleep apnoea patients? Not even been told yet to take in my ASV (CPAP) machine.
I have both central and OSA. Any advice appreciated. 😉

  1. Hi . I hope you get some responses from others in the community here. As I noted in my respnse to your comment on another forum,it would be best to speak to your doctor and the anesthesiologist about your concerns. My husband has s;eep apnea. He has been under general anesthesia with no issues, but every case is different. Wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)
