Shortage of CPAP

I was told there is a shortage of CPAP and the soonest I'm able to get one is November...Extremely irritated about this.

  1. I'm looking into renting. Is that a good idea?

    1. as long as you have the prescription sent over from your sleep specialist and they are ok with it, I think it's a GREAT idea! 🙂 I can use my recalled machine; however, if I weren't, I would either rent one or see if the other brand was an option. My sleep specialist told me that it's pretty much one company or the other. I've yet to hear of anyone renting one and am curious how your experience works. Please keep us posted. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday; warmly, — Matt G. (sleepapnea.sleep-disorders.net) Team Member.

  2. I signed up for the recall on 9/1/2021 and have received four separate emails with essential updates, only to find out mine is still pending. I will no longer get too excited when they email me an update. To be continued! Warmly, — Matt G. (sleepapnea.sleep-disorders.net) Team Member.

    1. Sadly, there was a recall of some machines and that was followed by the Chip shortage that several industries are going through. It is indeed very frustrating for everyone. I am sorry that you are being affected by this. Warmly, Lisa (SleepApnea.Sleep-Disorders.net Team Member and Advocate)
