Mouth guards

Hi, I'm recently diagnosed with mild sleep apnea. I can't use a Cpap due to dryness from Sjogrens syndrome. So I had custom made mouth guards which should be ready this week. The sleep study said I stop breathing 10x an hour and my pulmonologist says I'm a level 1, but when I sleep on my back I'm a 3! I never knew I sleep on my back! Anyone here use mouth guards and can yountell me how you like them or not, and your experiences? I'd really appreciate your help! Thanks 😊 so much for accepting me to this group!

  1. From the referred website for this device ('Inspire'😉 - there are four criteria for FDA indications and FDA insurance requirements for patients being considered for this therapy. As listed they are:
-Diagnosed with moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea
-Struggle with or can’t get consistent benefit from CPAP
    -Not significantly obese
    -Over the age of 18

    1. What Do You THINK of the Inspire®️ Sleep 💤💤System? | JAN 18, 2023 | Breathing VPAP

      1. would you think of The INSPIRE SLEEP System!? It’s a IMPLANTED System with NO MASK or HOSE.
I COULD NOT use it DUE to be Obese and SEIZURES

        1. Hi, I think the mouth guards will be ready next week. So I'll post after wearing them for like a week. Hopefully they work because they cost me $2000! Thankfully the Dentist told me about Care Credit and I was approved. Thank you for your post. Take care😊
