Sleep study

Had my second sleep study sense 2013 my number was lower than before went from a 10 to an 08. Odd thing I thought

  1. that sounds like great news to me! As a sleep tech, my goal is always to help patients to lower their numbers. Generally, as we age, our numbers may go up because most of us just aren't as healthy as we were when we were younger. Also, women who are menopausal or in postmenopause generally become at higher risk for sleep apnea. Not sure if that's your case, but if it is, then you are bucking trends for the better!

    1. Hi I'm really happy to hear that you're being so proactive with your healthcare, good job! 😀

      Cheers,
      Matt

      1. , hello
It's good that you had another study. Have you found anything out after your appointment? What did they do to to bring your number back up?

When my numbers change, they are able to adjust the settings on my machine.
Over time, our breathing can change even though we are using a C-Pap. Here is a very good article by Genna Nielsen, RRT.

Hoping that you get restful sleep.

        1. thanks for sharing that. That is odd but hopefully good news. How are you doing with managing with a CPAP? Warmly, Kristin (SleepApnea.Sleep-Disorders.net Team Member)
