Humidifier stuck in cpap

Hi, my cpap was shipped to me and the humidifier is stuck in cpap. I live alone so no help. Can't use it until I get it out. Also, how can Phillips still manufacture them? Not happy about that.

  1. First night sleeping with cpap. My nose hurts, feels too tight, loosened it but still does. It's telling me good fit. Also, some black on my pillow this morning. I cleaned it and washed humidifier very good after receiving it. I'm not seeing anything that black could be coming from. Didn't sleep any better. Any thoughts?

    1. Finally got it all together. Tonight will be my first time to use. I had one several years back but this one is so high tech.

      1. Best of luck and let us know how it all goes!

        Cheers.

    2. My daughter fixed it. Thanks

      1. how annoying!!! If it helps at all, the humidifier is optional. When you go into the settings, you can simply turn the humidifier off and skip that feature until you can find someone to help you. But make sure you do, in fact, turn it off, because if you don't, and you run PAP without water in the chamber, the bottom plate that warms it could burn. Here's some info on humidifier use that might be helpful.
