Hi there, thank you for your question. As of now, there is an alternative to nasal mask without headgear and it's called Eclipse by a company called Bleep Sleep. A Google search will take you to their website. It looks intriguing and I'd be curious to try it myself, but it's not available in my country (Canada) as yet so I won't be able to claim it on my insurance. I see you also mentioned hair breakage.
