Hi . It can be frustrating when the solution for one problem causes another. Have you talked with your doctor about your dry mouth? It might be caused by your CPAP, but it is alway best to rule out other, unrelated health conditions. Here is an article that might interest you: https://sleepapnea.sleep-disorders.net/living/dry-mouth. If you are certain your machine and mask are causing your dry mouth, there are a few things you can try. Here is an article with some suggested solutions: https://sleepapnea.sleep-disorders.net/living/sinus-problems-dry-mouth. Persistent dry mouth can allow bacteria to grow and very quickly cause cavities, so it is important to treat it even as you look for a more permanent solution. Over-the-counter mouth washes and melts that promote saliva production can be extremely helpful. I often wake up with dry mouth due to allergies. I find the melts easier because I can simply pop one in my mouth and go back to sleep. I highly recommend looking for one that contains Xylitol. Xylitol binds with sugar molecules and moves them through your digestive system, depriving the bacteria in your mouth of nutrients. The sinus spray is also great for preventing sinus infections. I hope this helps and that others chime in with more ideas. Check back in if you don't mind and let us know how you are doing. Wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)
