cpap cleaning

I have been using one of those ozone devices to sanitize my machine about once a week. My Dr. told me to be careful because it could void the warranty. His recommendation was just to wash the equipment with mild soap and lukewarm water and hang it to dry. But what about the pathway inside the machine? Can it collect bacteria also? Any thoughts on this?

  1. I've used the same thing for the past 3 years with no problems at all.

    1. I am going to share an article with you about the ozone cleaners, just so you know about more about them. They do void warrantees for the PAP machines. https://sleepapnea.sleep-disorders.net/living/mask-equipment-cleaners. Bacteria need food, water, and the right environment to grow in. The inside of the machine is dry and protected from contamination unless you open it, or introduce something inside it. So it should be fine. I hope that helps.
