Stacy Erickson Edwards is a sleep disorders advocate living in Seattle with her husband, young son and two cats. She was diagnosed with sleep apnea in 2015 and with idiopathic hypersomnia in 2018.

After a sleep study revealed that Stacy had been suffering from sleep apnea for an unknown amount of time, Stacy immediately began CPAP treatment. Her symptoms lessened almost instantly. During this time, Stacy learned more about the dangers of untreated sleep apnea and how it can affect way more than just your sleep. At this time she became passionate about lessening the stigma around PAP therapy and began a blog called "CPAP Babes" to raise awareness and empower PAP users to share positivity around treatment.

Though CPAP helped Stacy immensely, she continued to experience persistent sleepiness after a year of consistent CPAP use. It was at this time that Stacy pressed on for answers and additional testing to discover that she suffered from a secondary sleep disorder called Idiopathic Hypersomnia. She continues to seek treatment and answers while raising awareness for IH and other related sleep disorders.

Stacy is passionate about self-advocacy in regards to her health and loves to support others in their journeys to finding answers about their chronic conditions.
