Kristen Cascio
Kristen Cascio was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea at age 31 after struggling with daytime fatigue for 15 years. The diagnosis changed everything for her, allowing her to wake up feeling rested and to go through (most of) her days with energy. Kristen has always been passionate about travel, having visited around 25 different countries, and is always looking to travel to new destinations. Once she started traveling with her CPAP, Kristen started an Instagram account @meandmycpap to document her travels, and enjoys connecting with other users with sleep disorders on the platform. Kristen wants to encourage other CPAP users, no matter their age, to not feel self-conscious about using a CPAP. Being a young woman with no risk factors for sleep apnea, Kristen’s diagnosis was missed for many years. Kristen hopes to bring awareness to her diagnosis so that others don’t have to struggle without answers for so long.
Kristen is a clinical social worker with a Masters in Social Work from Simmons University. Kristen lives with her husband outside of Boston.
